In the previous posting we examined Deuteronomy 13:1-4 in which the prophet warns God seekers to be careful and to choose with Biblical wisdom whom they will follow, and why. He tells us that God tests those who claim to be His to see if they will remember and obey His Words when a miracle worker or the leader of a huge congregation, or perhaps a world-famous evangelist points them toward a church within the Catholic/Protestant combine. People who witness the work of a popular or powerful church leader will often join the group with which he/she is affiliated. The rationale is that if a member of that group can perform miracles or can have a huge following, then that church must be approved by the Lord. As this posting will attest, nothing could be further from the Truth. The truth is that if a Catholic or Protestant church approves of the minister involved then neither the church nor the minister is in any way affiliated with God or His true church. God’s ministers and His church are rejected by professing Christendom. Recall that Jesus compared His true church to a tiny mustard seed. It is only when it grows into a tree that the “birds” (false Christians) make their nests in it and pollute it with their false “truths.” If a Catholic or Protestant minister realizes his error and begins to preach God’s Truth he will be fired and his ordination nullified. Then he will be like me. Here is a Truth that I prove repeatedly: PROFESSING CHRISTENDOM HATES GOD’S WORD. Church doctrine is their gospel and the church is their golden calf. For proof, read the Introduction to this website, then read the various series where I prove every one of those church “truths” to be Satan’s lies. I do so by using the very Book the church has rejected.
The Scriptural fact that a man can be a Gospel-preaching, body-healing, devil-delivering, silver-tongued leader of a globally popular church and not be a child of God is rejected by the whole of professing Christendom. The theory is that God would never use a false prophet to preach His Word, heal the sick, cast out demons, raised the dead, etc. But that theory is wrong to its core. To prove the point I will use two examples: myself and Judas.
When I came into the preaching, healing, deliverance ministry where I was for about seven years, I was not a Christian. I “knew” that I had been saved, born again, etc. But when the Lord showed me the Truth about my spiritual condition I had to admit that I was not what I believed myself to be and, having vowed to obey God’s Word, I had to leave the Institutional Church, thereby destroying my very popular ministry. I was known as the go-to man when it came to healing the sick and cast out devils. Very quickly I became a spiritual outcast. By concentrating on God’s “fine print” I became persona non grata–a reject. When I was popular I had the “headlines” down pat, but was lacking the most important part. Which is what the miracle workers and popular t.v. preachers of today are missing. Therefore they are missing the God of the Word. And yet He continues to use them just as He used the miracle working prophet of Deuteronomy 13. God is testing people who follow the teachings and acts of their guru whom they have hired to tell them what they want to hear. The testing goes on in all so-called churches. As the Apostle Peter said, judgment is constantly being rendered in the church (1 Pet. 4:17,18). He went on to say that only a few–the Elect–would be saved, and they just barely. Why? Because every0ne else believes what their preachers are telling them without comparing their teachings to the Truth of the Holy Scriptures AS THEY ARE COMMANDED TO DO (1 Jn. 4:1). For this reason they are low-hanging fruit for Satan. As I have said many times, EVERYTHING COMES BACK TO THE WORD. If it is not backed by God’s Word it is not from God.
Now let us look at the most famous false prophet in the history of man–the Gospel-preaching, body-healing, devil- chasing man named Judas Iscariot. Jesus chose him and used him to preach the Gospel, heal the sick and cast out demons. In John 6:70 we find Jesus saying: “I have chosen all of you, and one of you is a devil.” In verse 64 we are told that Jesus knew from the beginning that Judas was a traitor and a thief (vs 65 and 12:6). Judas was one of the 70 disciples that Jesus sent out to preach, heal and cast out demons. They all came back proclaiming: “Even the devils are subject unto us through Your name” (Lk. 10:17). Jesus told the 70 not to rejoice in their spiritual power, but to rejoice because: “… your names are written in heaven” (Lk. 10:20) But later all but 12 left Him and walked no more with Him (Jn. 6:66). Judas, whom He made the treasurer of the group, “kept the (money) bag” (Jn. 13:29) from which he pilfered from time to time. As noted, Jesus knew from day one that he was a traitorous thief, yet he, as Peter said, had the same ministry as did the other disciples (Acts 1:17,26). Only Jesus knew about Judas’ sins. Yet He allowed him to have an equal part of the ministry. Nothing has changed. Men and women are preaching beautiful, “headline”-ladened, soul-uplifting sermons while healing the sick and casting out demons. The problem is that they are in league with Judas, who was controlled by Satan who has his prophets preaching the Gospel and, in some cases, performing miracles. Remember Jesus’ Words: “Let no man deceive you, for many will come in My name, saying that I (Jesus) is the Christ, and will deceive many” (Mat. 24:4,5). L.J.
